Sierra Leone, children, shoes and friends...

Paradise 4 Kids

Meet Susan (here). Six months ago P4K sponsored Susan, a Montessori trained teacher, who followed her heart (and a voice in her head), left the comfort of the USA and went to Sierra Leone to Fr. Themistocles' Mission, not knowing what to expect. What she found there made an incredible impact on her life, and all the children and people she met along the way. Stay tuned for details!
"My God put a strong desire in my heart to come and be of service to these Ebola orphans. Everyday I pinch myself and ask how is it that I am in Africa receiving such deep meaningful heartfelt love? Life is Grand and Amazing. All I did was say yes to God.though this photo shows me carrying my sweet little friend , it's Gods grace that is carrying us both.My own beautiful, super patient and loving kids are waiting for me at home. Ahh, the grandness of God continues! Get ready Lee and Bobby to be loved all up!
Bye for now Africa! Xo."

Dear Rev Themistocles Adamopoulo friends & supporters,
because of your kind generosity, P4K have already sent 1000 pairs of the "Growing Shoe" and we are 3/4 way to sending the 2nd 1000 pairs.
Yesterday, the " Growing Shoe" company offered us a special deal to supply us with another 1000 pairs at under half price as their contribution after seeing the work Fr Themi is doing.
That means, instead of costing us 20k for 1000 pairs it will cost us 25k for 2000 pairs.
Lets see if we can make it happen! to help goto -

From here:
From its earliest days, following the edicts of Jesus,
Christianity encouraged its devotees to tend the sick.
Priests were often also physicians and or Teachers. According to the historian Geoffrey Blainey, while pagan religions seldom offered help to the infirm, the early Christians were willing to nurse the sick and take food to them, "In nursing the sick and dying, regardless of religion, the Christians won friends and sympathisers".
The first known Christian nurse, Phoebe, is mentioned in Romans 16:1. During the early years of the Christian Church (ca. 50 C.E.), St. Paul sent a deaconess named Phoebe to Rome as the first visiting nurse.

Mary Adams, whos is she? (from here)
Mary Adams is Fr Themi's only biological sibling (same mother same father).
In the early years, Mary had been know to steal, the then burgeoning rock stars personal items and sell them to the highest bidder.
Today, Mary is by his side in Sierra Leone living the life of a true missionary helping the poor in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This Easter we ask that you pray for her.
